Cyborg vs The Green Lantern

Cyborg vs Green Lantern
These guys both have varying degrees of transformative abilities, but the question isn’t “who’s a better transformer,” it’s “Who Is Deadliest!?!?”
Comparisons
This is a close one. Cyborg is limited by his strictly mechanical abilities, while the Green Lantern is limited by his inability to use many abilities at once, so an overly offensive attack will leave him vulnerable, while too much defense will allow Cyborg to put full power into his offense and wear him down. Cyborg can transform into a lot of helpful things, like a Ferrari with a minigun, or an F16 with a tank cannon on the bottom, but his transformations aren’t instant, and they are limited by certain amounts of ridiculousness (No ICBMs, that’s just stupid of you to think of that.) He has seemingly unlimited ammo of every form though, so all of his guns can shoot for as long as he wants them to, which will not mix well with Green Lantern’s limitations.

Does this sound like the pokemon battle theme to anyone else?

The Actual Fight
Darkseid grinned when he saw Superman end the Flash’s life. “One down, five to go. Unless you count Aquaman.” He chuckled at this thought and flew a few parsecs closer to Earth to get a more reliable chance at controlling the mind of Cyborg. “Controlling the human part of this guy’s mind will be easy. The machine in him will make this a bitch, so I’m kinda hoping this works out.” He pondered about why he thinks about his plans before he does them for a moment before he dismissed it as a strange coincidence involving his extremely high intellect, and good looks. His energy manipulation abilities traveled throughout space to affect a very specific downed power line he was aiming for.
“Prepare to die Green Lantern!” Yelled Cyborg as he unleashed a blast of energy from his arm. “Not today you fiend!” Retorted the Lantern, as he shielded himself from the blast with his ring. The energy deflected off of his shield and hit the building next to them, shattering the foundation and bringing it down on itself, causing no damage to anything or anyone around it.
The construction workers surrounding the building cheered on the heroes after they finished what would have been week-long job in a few seconds for them. “Thanks for the help you guys, and the theatrics were very much appreciated.” Cyborg and the Green Lantern stayed for a few more minutes to shake hands and sign autographs before they flew back towards the base of the Justice League to deal with the rogue Superman problem. The Green Lantern Spoke as they flew, “These public appearances are very important in calming the public and showing them that we can still take care of business without Superman or The Flash.”
“Yeah, and it’s always a nice confidence boost to see all of those people cheering for you.” Cyborg replied.
“Yeah, just don’t let it all go to your ego.”
“I’m not even sure if I have an ego with this thing.” He banged on the metallic side of his head and the Green Lantern laughed. They flew on towards JLHQ until Cyborg picked up the sound of a truck crash about a mile away. “Did you hear that?”
“Yup, let’s put those big mechanical muscles to the test.”
They flew towards the site of the crash and what they saw was not a pretty sight at all. A semi-truck had flipped onto a small sedan and slid the metal mess into the ditch. The truck driver was unconscious and the driver of the sedan was pinned to the bottom of his car, with the truck crushing his chest to the point that he couldn’t breathe. The super-powered duo moved quickly with Cyborg lifting the truck off of the other car while Green Lantern pulled the truck driver out of his semi and out of the area. At this point a large crowd had gathered around the accident, and Green Lantern had to put up an energy field to stop them from getting too close. Cyborg was trying to wrench the other driver out of the mangled car when a large bolt of lightning from the broken power line the cars had hit struck him in the temple.
At this point Cyborg began twitching violently; something the Green Lantern had never seen before. “Hey man, are you gonna be okay?” There was no response, but the twitching stopped. Cyborg fell to his knees as his normally blue equipment faded to a black so dark it seemed to suck the light out of the space around him. He then got up and looked around at the silent crowd of people, all staring at him. He looked over at the Green Lantern, then at the man in the car, who was seconds away from death now. He picked up the car that the man was in and threw it at Green Lantern. The Lantern dissipated the force field around the crowd and used his ring to catch the car while in the air. “No, this can’t be happening again.” He muttered to himself. He blasted the car at Cyborg now. “If you’re going crazy like Superman, I’m taking you out right now.” He shot a large energy blast at Cyborg now, who had already made jets on his feet at his point, and used them to blast up and away from the attack. At this point he started changing. His mechanical parts molded into the form of a Westland Lynx helicopter; one of the fastest helicopters in the world. He also created a 45 mm cannon on the side, which he began firing at the Green Lantern.
Lantern had already made a giant mace out of his ring and he was flying towards Cyborg as the first shots were fired. He dodged the first few, but realized that they were killing hundreds of people on the ground. He used his mace to deflect the shots away from the city and himself. Cyborg saw this and decided to switch to a 20 mm minigun, which he shot as he flew away from the Green Lantern. The mace had turned into a shield now to absorb the thousands of bullets hitting him. He pushed on and nearly caught up with Cyborg until he again changed, this time into an F-35 fighter jet, which he used to fly low and away from the Green Lantern’s presence.
The Green Lantern was surprised by this strategy, as Cyborg was never one to shy away from a conflict before, so he dropped his shield and used his power to keep up with Cyborg until he realized where he was going; the ocean, where his naval abilities would allow him to fight Lantern on his own terms. He started shooting blasts at Cyborg while he was flying, but Cyborg easily dodged them, and released a heap of flak to disorient Green Lantern for a moment. By now they were over New Orleans, and Cyborg had already stopped flying and dropped out of the clouds towards the ocean while changing. The Lantern tried to make out what Cyborg was changing into, but he hit the water before he got a good look. When he approached the water to dive in after him, he was hit by a tank shell coming out of the water.
Cyborg was moving along the bottom of the ocean as a tank and aiming straight up and out of the water. He changed the dynamic of the tank so that the shells were denser and the barrel shot magnetically, allowing the shell to get out of the water before disintegrating. The Green Lantern had no knowledge of this, however, and assumed that he was near the surface of the water enough to be harmed by the energy blasts he was sending in after him. After getting weakened by a few shells, he decided to put up a shield and fly down into the ocean after him. When he did this, Cyborg used his powers to electrify the water. This attack intensified the closer he got, and after getting hit by another tank shell, he decided the effort was futile and he flew back out of the water. He used his ring to grab the next shell that flew out of the water, and he slingshotted it back at Cyborg underwater. The shell hit him and damaged his tread enough to stop him from moving for long enough to let The Lantern get a good charge in his ring and fire it at Cyborg.
The shot hit Cyborg hard enough to cause him to change back into his normal form, though still black. He flew out of the water to meet The Lantern head on, but he was immediately hit back towards land by a giant green hammer. He fired shots at Cyborg as he flew back to the mainland, and when he hit the ground he stabbed him in the stomach with a sword from his ring. Cyborg tried to resist, but Lantern held him down until the red light on his eye turned off, indicating his death.

Winner: The Green Lantern
It was very close, but The Green Lantern is a lot more powerful than Cyborg. Cyborg is great at keeping his enemies guessing, but it wasn’t enough against the green power ring.

Old School Results:
The Green Lantern- 534 Kills
Cyborg- 466 Kills

The Green Lantern looked down at the broken body of his friend and kept himself from crying. He set up a force field to keep people away from the grisly scene and dialed Batman’s number from his phone. “Batman, I’m going to bring you something that could help explain why Superman went insane.” He used his ring to pick up the remains of Cyborg’s body and flew off towards Gotham to see what the greatest detective in the world could make of this.
