Master Chief vs Samus- A Preview

I’m not going to make a new blog for every match/tournament I do, so just consider Marvel vs DC as “Roker’s dispensary of violence and some comedy through text under the guise of fictional match ups based off of the TV show Deadliest Warrior on Spike.”  Starting off my series of non-tournament matches, two of the most recognizable power armored soldiers to ever grace space with their presence face off in a battle of energy weapons, space pirates, and more than a few surprises. This may not be an original match-up (people have done this a thousand times on the internet already) but I will make it interesting. Of course, the only two people this could be are:

Master Chief vs Samus
Sometimes, one SMG just doesn't get the job done

VS

OH, ok, I guess you have to expect this from the internet. Sick Bastards.

OK this is getting ridiculous, can we get on to the tough version of Samus?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH GOD WHY!?!?!?!?

Praise Jesus! Praise Muhammed! Praise fucking Odin, if you're a Pagean, just thank you!
THIS is Samus!

You know what, let's just do this:

                Master Chief                                                                                                    Samus
VS

For this particular match, I’ve decided to make it a Leader + squad match, meaning that Master Chief and Samus have their normal soldiers backing them up. Chief will have a squad of ten Helljumpers (ODST’s) fighting with him, while Samus will have ten Galactic Federation soldiers following her.

I’m also taking a page out of afanofsparta’s future match and making them both fight their past enemies before they fight each other. These enemy squads will also be Leader + squad based. Samus will have to fight a squad of Brutes led by meglomaniac Tartarus. Master Chief will have to fight a squad of Space pirates led by the menacing dragon-pterodactyl-beast Ripley. It is entirely possible for their squads and even themselves to be wiped out during this time.

Grading System:

Like many other blogs, I’ll be using a multitude of categories for this match. The difference is that they will all have to be graded for at least 8 different people, since there’s one leader, a lower unit, and the same for their early enemy per side. Everyone’s different, so everyone gets graded differently (Different types of brutes may make it even more.) The points earned from the enemy squads will be funneled directly into the other side (So all points gained from the Covenant squad are given to Master Chief, since they’re only helping him in this match.)

Here’s a current version of what I have worked out. Categories may be added or changed by the end of the match:

Offense:

Melee- 5 points

Close range- 10 points

Medium Range- 15 points

Long Range- 20 Points

Explosives- 10 points

Big Guns- 15 Points

Defense:

Armor- 40 Points

Agility- 15 Points

Pain Tolerance (Basically Health)- 15 Points

Tactics:

Leadership- 10 Points

Cooperation- 20 Points

Training- 10 Points

Unique Abilities (Such as Ridley’s ability to Fly)- 25 Points

Questions/comments about the grading system are much appreciated, as I don’t use them very often.

Also the match, you can comment about that too.

  2. YEs this match looks awesome Roker! Thanks for the mention man! Don't know who to root for here, one of my favorite x-box fighters or boo- a legendary Nintendo hero! Samus vs. Tatarus and Master Chief vs. Ridley? This is going to be interesting. Not sure to add anything but training could be a factor in this battle

    1. Very true! Both groups have had intense but different training regimens, thanks for pointing that out.

    2. I have a whole host of other x-factors located on my blog, but those are for more singular battles.
